This is the first book from Australian interior stylist, Sibella Court. Lovingly compiled with her favourite themes, scenes and collections this book is a visual feast. Sibella also owns and operates a drool-worthy shop called The Society Inc. in Paddington, Sydney. Delightfully described on her website thus:
"The Society inc. is an old haberdashery meets hardware store specialising in local and global textiles, furniture, homewares and beautiful things.
Set up by long time interior stylist Sibella Court in an 1800s corner shop in Paddington, its contents and interior will change 4 times a year, each time a new 'theme' will transport the visitor to different societies. The first is The Indigo Blues Society followed by Travellers & Magicians. Each theme will be accompanied by seasonal paint colours designed by Sibella for Murobond Paints."
Yet another reason to schedule in a visit to Paddington!
Here are some examples of her work, which can be found inside the book.
The book reflects her affection for rich textures, layering and grouping of collections. A warning: if minimalist is your style, this is not the book for you....you will probably break out in hives. I'm by no means minimalist, but I have to admit to feeling slightly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of delights per square inch ratio. Something previously thought impossible.
However, if beautiful vintage pieces, different "stories" in every corner of a room, delicately compiled collections of objects and a magic eye for colour and texture are your "thing", then this book will tick all the boxes.
If Sibella Court styled your home, I'm sure you would feel that the most exquisite of all bower-bird's had weaved their magic.
Here are some examples of her work for clients:
A priviliged glimpse into an astonishingly talented, creative mind.

Having problems downloading camera photos at present.....lots to share regarding Operation Boombah, kids, cooking, blah, blah, blah. Still slowly getting back to normal and trying to visit everyone's lovely blogs....goodness, you're a talented lot, I keep on going off on tangents and getting deliciously stuck in your archives from the past couple of weeks! Apologies to new visitors here whom I have yet to visit....I'm just putting on some lippy and I'll be over as soon as I can.
